It was a beautifully cool morning. Almost arm warmer weather.

It was also the last 5:30 start and last 5th hill of the season. Next week we’re back to 6am and 4 climbs.

After the hills we got split by the light at McDowell & Galvin Pkwy. Only a few got through clean with a couple following through a strong Orange. The rest stopped.

Chalmers took the sprint and deserved it. He and Tyler were on a break away the whole way back. They worked hard.

It was almost a little chilly this morning. Here’s a view on the bridge at the start and a view coming down the last hill.  You guys and gals are a great bunch of riders!  About 32 strong this morning!!  What a great workout! Todd still has his monkey! Hoss missed the shot and people elbowed into our starbucks space.  John, what’s up with that?  Justin smoked us all on the bridge!!

The ride started out great, nice and easy, not too fast.  The lights kept us together, no breakaways.  Near the top of the first hill I heard a loud chank and looked over as Vlads chain broke and started dragging on the road.  I knew I had an extra link so I stayed behind..Hoss, Todd, and I coached Vlad on, not wanting to touch that greasy chain. What a mess!  The only consolation is that we didn’t have to do hill 3!!

We had some surprise appearances this morning at starbucks!  Struttman dropped in with some delicious cookies and sporting a nice cane and shell.  Good to see Joe up and about.  Aaron rode in with his daughter Adeline (sp?) for some quality time with the FMR gang. Good times!
