Waiting (really resting) at the top of hill 3

What a beautiful morning… finally! Last week was 32 degrees in the rain for the two that showed up! Hoss and Chuck braved it out and Chuck took a triple crown while Hoss was slowed down by stuck shifters.

Justin rides again… it was good to see him back on the bike again. We still had a small group, but that didn’t make it easier or slower. Alan hitched a ride up hill 3 and probably set a new KOM, but will have no cadence and a low HR 🙂

Here’s the sprint, thanks to Hoss’ video:

Great ride!!  two questions:
Would Sagan have caught up with Gilbert if he hadn’t crashed?
Would Johnny have really taken all the hills? (nice work Johnny and RJ!)
Good to have Justin back(in USA)… hasn’t ridden since 1st week in January.
Juanito showed up too!!  Anna met us at Starbucks!! Good times!!

What a gorgeous day for a ride! Great turn out and no crashes so all is good.

There was talk of Justin making a run at the Triple Crown so a couple riders, Al and GC, were sent up the road early. Justin, Joe and others chased and for a moment it looked like they caught Al and GC but it was Gardner and Ben-Horin. So Justin and Joe went off again but it wasn’t enough. Al and GC held the gap with GC taking Hill 1 so the Triple Crown was safe.

On the return trip the group had to stop at the light at Mill/Curry. Justin had the timing right and nailed it the moment the light changed. He grabbed a huge lead and held everyone off taking the sprint.

Here’s the question of the day. How warm does it have to get before Kocher comes out of hibernation?
